Oregano Tea Recipe to Heal Strep Throat, Sinusitis, and Infections

For centuries, oregano tea has been used as a natural remedy for numerous health issues in many parts around the world. Oregano is rich in many important compounds such as quercetin, luteolin-7-O-glucoside, apigenin-7-O-glucoside, eriocitrin, apigenin, and luteolin.

A 2008 study published in the “Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology” has found that oregano extract improved indicators of cancer in laboratory animals who suffered from colon cancer. According to the researchers, this is due to the powerful antioxidant properties of oregano. Even though these studies are very encouraging, the researchers added that there is a need for confirmation in clinical studies with human subjects.

Oregano Tea Recipe to heal sinusitis, strep throat, and infections
  • 6 tablespoons fresh oregano leaves
  • 2 ½ cups of water
  • 1 tbsp. of organic raw honey
  • Tea strainer

Instructions: Cut the leaves to release the oil. Boil the water on the stove for about 10 minutes. After that, add oregano leaves and let it steep for 5 minutes, then strain the tea and add the honey. It is recommended to drink the tea while it is still hot in order to experience the most of its health benefits.
