After years of neglecting the ability of cannabis to successfully destroy cancer cells, it seems that U.S government is finally publicly admitting the fact that this amazing plant has powerful healing properties.
The article says that the National Cancer Institute, part of the U.S Department of Health, recommends the use of cannabinoids in the treatment of side-effects of cancer and cancer treatment. There are many ways in which cannabis can help, such as smoking, drinking herbal teas, eating it in baked goods, and even spraying it under the tongue.
Moreover, the site also lists numerous other medicinal uses of cannabis, including stress relief, pain relief, antiviral and anti-inflammatory activity, reduction of muscle spasms due to multiple sclerosis, and much more.
Also, the information page goes on to explain how cancer cells in mice were killed when exposed to the mighty effects of cannabis.
“Several scientific studies have suggested this in the past, and in April 2016, the US government’s National Institute on Drug Abuse revised their publications to suggest cannabis could shrink brain tumors by killing off cancer cells,” added Willis.
Presently, cancer patients in the USA have access to two FDA approved medication which contain cannabinoids. In the UK, on the other hand, THC can be found in prescribed drug called Sativex but is not yet considered effective for medical purposes on a wider basis.
So, if the U.S government is finally willing to admit the cancer-fighting properties of cannabis, then will other countries from all over the globe follow suit?
